Every part of Kyle has its own character. Read what each area is like and see live apartment pricing.
The planned community on Kyle's west side, and close to half of the town's apartment inventory sits inside it. Plum Creek was laid out with the amenities built into the plan rather than added later: the golf course, the trails, the pools, the neighborhood parks, and a walkable district of shops at its center. The apartment stock here is newer than the rest of Kyle and priced accordingly, and it runs the full range from garden buildings to 55-plus. If you are searching Kyle from out of town, this is the part you have already seen photos of.
East of I-35 along Kyle Parkway and out toward Dacy Lane. This is the practical side of town: the Seton hospital, the everyday retail, the on-ramp, and the shortest commute north to Austin of anywhere in Kyle. The buildings are a genuine mix of recent construction and older garden communities, so the price spread here is the widest in the city. Less curated than Plum Creek, closer to the things you actually drive to.
The older south end of Kyle, running down past Bunton Creek Road toward the original downtown and the San Marcos line. Established streets, more shade than the new build-outs have grown yet, and consistently the softest rents in town. Inventory is thinner here and it leans older, which is exactly why renters who have priced the rest of Kyle keep circling back to it. You are five minutes further from the Austin on-ramp and about ten minutes closer to San Marcos.
